Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in cooperation with Nemestic studio from Novi Sad will hold a workshop “Innovate Heritage Icons – Food, Lifestyle Products and Services: Contextualizing local cultural experiences into global markets,” which will be held on 27 May on Mikser festival 2017.
Istituto Europeo di Design has always tried to empower talent throughout its widespread range of activities.
IED will be hosted in the venue of the festival and will bring along one of its most respected Professors, Federico Ferretti, Coordinator of the Master programme in Design – Innovation, Strategy and Product, who will run a special workshop aimed at going through the process of generating real innovation in design.
Therefore IED challenge all students attending a Bachelor of Art course in a design field to join us in the Cevapcici Innovation workshop on Saturday May 27th: to remodel the culinary tradition of making Cevapcici, a typical Balcan traditional dish made with grinded beef and many spices.
The agenda for the day will include both frontal lessons and practical excercises from 12:00 until 19:00 with a lunch break.
It will also be possible to book a personal interview or a portfolio review to know more about IED academic offer, admission procedures and scholarships opportunities.
The ninth edition of the biggest regional festival of creativity, Mikser festival, will be held from 25 to 28 May at the place where it all began – in former Žitomlin silos at lower Dorćol, Belgrade, Serbia. Under the autobiographical slogan “MIGRATION”, Mikser Festival will again host a huge number of top figures from the fields of architecture and design, urban development and planning, new technologies experts, engaged artists and musicians from the region and the world.
Mikser Festival 2017 will focus on establishing new relationships between the urban environment, society, art, nature and technology to form four main festival topics – MIGRATION, EDUCATION IN MOTION, THE FACTORY OF CULTURE, NATURE OF THE CITY. These themes reflect the most current challenges that Serbian society and culture as well as the Mikser organisation are facing.
